Club advert remake and evaluation

My group to re-make the club advert was me, Abby, Jack and Oakley. I believe that between us we managed the task well as we shared the parts of the characters out well, as everyone got the ones they were comfortable with, and also everyone was part of the video multiple times. We planned our sequence by firstly re watching the advert and creating a list of props and scenes that we needed. We then assigned each person specific parts, and studied the camera shots in each scene so we knew what we had to do.
The factors we took into consideration when planning, shooting and editing were things such as the environment we were in, as this could have effected how similar our acting was to the original advert, also things such as props and the skills of the filming on the camera as this would either make or break the shot for the advert. Overall I think our sequence was very successful as we all took it seriously, and it was almost identical timing in each scene to the original advert for club chocolate bars. I think the things that worked the best were the timings, and also the camera shots as they were very similar to the original, and also because they look quite professional as we made sure we took time and retakes to get the right shot for every scene. If we were to redo it, then in hindsight I would ensure the backgrounds were more similar to the original advert and also I would try to get more similar costumes to the people in the advert.
From completing this task I have learnt about different camera shots and the importance of having a range to make different impacts on the audience. As if it makes it more interesting for the audience. This learning will be important for when completing future projects as it has showed me how to do different camera shots and has also given me more confidence in front of the camera.
